Interesting and useful webinars

As a Digital Literacy Coach I have found that Webinars are a great source for a quick view of educational trends. SimpleK12 is a great site with a lot of webinars available. Dor example, on Tuesday, Dec 13 they will offer a series fo webinars on different subjects all day long. What I am planning to do is to reserve time all day here in school and watch/listen as many webinars as possible. It will be a Professional Day for us. I will invite teachers and/or administrators to the webinars that might be interesting for them, depending on the topic. As a department (Center for Teaching Excellence), we try to register to at least one webinar a week. I love webinars!
I also like SimplyK12 because it also has ideas for over 100 projects using technology that can be integrated to Math, Language, Science and SS. Since we are launching the Connected Leraning Community it is also important to educate students, teachers and parents on internet safety. SimplyK12 has a very complete curriculum which can help us teach 21 st Century skills to our school community.
SimplyK12 has been a great resource for me as a DLC, it also helps me share with other educators ideas that I can share with our teachers in return, contributing to the global community.
